Nonetheless, we have still created the below privacy policy with detailed information on exactly what information it is we do sometimes collect, along with some info on why it is we need it and how we collect it.
Cookies
We use cookies – Cookies are small text files that are temporarily placed onto your machine to help us provide you with a more superior user experience on this site. We use cookies to remember your user preferences, but others may use it to remember items you’ve added to your shopping cart. Cookies also allow us to look at anonymised tracking data through third party applications such as Google Analytics (more info on that below). You can disable cookies on your system if you do wish though! The easiest way of doing this is via the settings in your browser. We suggest consulting the Help section of your browser or taking a look at the About cookies website which offers further guidance.
Google Analytics
When someone visits www.Glimpse.Media, we used a third party service called Google Analytics. This amazing bit of software allows us to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to various parts of our site. This information is only processed in a way in which does not identify anyone. We do not make, nor do we allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our site.
Mailing Lists
As part of the registration process for our monthly e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We do not rent nor trade email lists with anyone!
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.
Projects and Payments
When you hire Glimpse Media, we will need to collect some basic personal details such as your name, or your company name, contact details, address and email. This is so we can continue to keep in contact with you throughout any projects we work with you on.
Third Parties
At present, we do not share your personal information with any third parties. If you wish to make a card payment, then you will need to enter your card details directly into Stripe, our payment vendor. Plus, we will not get access to your card details at any point.
Access to your Personal Information
Under the new GDPR, you are welcome to view, amend or delete any personal information we may hold. To do this, please email your request to our Data Protection Officer Dan Chesney at Data@Glimpse.Media
